EDWARD HOUSE

Edward House pictured from the front left and looking across the whole of the front of the building

Edward House was officially opened in Stirling Road, Edgbaston in 1993 by Diana Princess of Wales. However, in 1998 when the Children's Hospital moved premises, Edward House relocated to larger premises adjacent to the new Hospital in the heart of Birmingham's City Centre.

We offer:

  • Home-from-home accommodation for families of seriously ill children undergoing inpatient treatment at Birmingham Children's Hospital

  • A calm friendly atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of life on the wards

  • Practical help, support and advice to families using our services

The Diana Princess of Wales Birmingham Children's Hospital is a centre of excellence for the treatment of many very serious illnesses. As a result families come here from not only all over the UK, but from overseas as well. All accommodation is organised by the Hospital's Accommodation Officer, who allocates rooms according to need.
